Ok guys, this tip I am about to share with you is one of my absolute favorite tricks. It is especially helpful when you are just starting out and do not know or remember all the Tarot card Meanings. It is also great for when you know the meaning but simply feel a little stuck on the message and not sure how the card may apply to you.

I have found this works wonderfully with Rider-Waite style decks when people are illustrated in the cards although it may work with other illustrated decks too, you’ll just have to try it and see!

All you need to do is simply re-enact the card yourself. BE the person or persons in the card. Imagine you are modeling for the artist who is drawing the card. Try standing and posing in front of a mirror. It’s ok you can do this in your head too! Put your hands in the same position, look the direction they are looking etc. How do you feel? Are your arms open wide and inviting to others or are they closed off? Are you holding weapons, tools, or nothing at all? What is the environment you are in? What are you wearing? Again, how do you FEEL being in this card? Once you begin to imagine yourself as the character in the card you may find a nice story unfolding which will help your reading flow a little easier.

This technique is so fun and I have found that it really helps to connect to the cards and retain their meanings. Let me know if you try this and how this works for you! Maybe we can even share our own Tarot card re-enactments sometime 😊
